Raw Hire is proud to have supported the 15th MACA Cancer 200, joining a group of WA industry partners who came together to help deliver this year’s milestone ride for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Rather than entering a riding team, Raw Hire supplied vehicles to keep the event’s support crews moving. It’s the kind of support we believe in most: backing the people who make big things happen behind the scenes.
Industry working together
The Perkins Alliance was formed in 2021 by MinRes, MACA and WesTrac, with WA Limestone joining a year later. Its goal is simple: reduce the cost of running the Cancer 200 through industry support, so more of the money raised goes directly to cancer research.
This year, Alliance partners and suppliers eliminated the operating costs of:
49 light vehicles, vans and 3, 6 and 8-tonne trucks
12 forklifts, EWPs and telehandlers
19 lighting towers
A 250-tonne crane and other lifting equipment
Electrical distribution infrastructure and multiple trailers
All transport logistics, including vehicle collection and return
All fuel required to run the event
Raw Hire stood alongside MinRes, MACA, WA Limestone, Russells Transport, United Equipment, General Cranes and Coates, together with a number of WA’s leading vehicle and equipment hire providers, to make it happen.
A thank you from the Alliance
Perkins Alliance Chair and 14-year Cancer 200 rider John Moralee thanked all suppliers for their generosity and commitment, noting the infrastructure and logistics behind the event are enormous and that what the group achieved together is something everyone can be proud of.
Onward Together
We’re grateful to the Perkins Alliance for the opportunity to be part of something that matters, and congratulations to every rider, volunteer and supporter who made the 15th ride a success.
